Flags - tibetan-flag.gif (375px x 254px)Summary
About the size of Western Europe, Tibet covers the world's highest plateau and is often referred to as ‘the roof of the world'. Tibet is a wonderful, must-see landscape, one of the most isolated parts of the world but with an abundance of spectacular scenery, monuments and temples.

A popular destination for trekkers,  home to Mt. Kailash, the hub of the universe, it is the most sacred mountain in Tibet; a beautiful and challenging tented trek, with a spiritual dimension from the pilgrims who share parts of the route, that adds so much to the experience. Adventurers also flock to take on the Tibetan face of Mt. Everest, the Kangshung Face is perhaps the most dramatic of all the routes to Everest.
