Day 01: Arrive Paro, Paro - Thimphu
Your guide, who will be with you throughout your visit, will be waiting for you at Paro airport. On completion of airport formalities, there will be an interesting drive of about 2 hrs to Thimphu, the modern capital town of Bhutan.  Evening free after dinner.

Day 02: Thimphu - Punakha
Visit Tashichhodzong: The ‘fortress of the glorious religion', the National Library, and the Institute for Zorig Chusum:, ‘the Painting School', where one can see students learning the various skills taught at the school. After lunch, visit the National Memorial Chorten. In the early evening, drive over Dochu-la pass to Punakha.

Day 03: Punakha - Wangduephodrang - Paro
Punakha , the ancient capital of Bhutan until 1955, home to the  breathtaking and glorious Punakha Dzong. Later drive to Wangduephodrang, the last town on the highway before entering central Bhutan.  After lunch drive to Paro, visiting Semtokha Dzong en route, the oldest Dzong in Bhutan.

Day 04: Paro 
In the morning, visit Ta Dzong, afterwards, walk down a hillside trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, which has a long and fascinating history. After lunch, drive up the valley to view the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, also visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the kingdom. In the evening, visit a traditional farmhouse for an opportunity to interact with a local family and learn something of their lifestyle.

Day 05: Depart Paro
After breakfast, drive to Paro airport for flight to onward destination.
